“Students applying for a service academy or ROTC scholarship often need to apply for a military waiver to rule out a previous health condition or diagnosis.”

Dr. Ditzell works closely with Dr. Glenn Merchant of DODMERB Consultants in providing these students with an evaluation. Following the evaluation, Dr. Ditzell will provide a letter to address the student’s needs, particularly in response to a waiver authority’s questions. Having served in the military for over twenty years, Dr. Ditzell knows what it takes, both mentally and physically to serve, and is familiar with the sense of pride it brings. He is honored to help students achieve their goals of military excellence.

Help is available

There are many reasons people do not seek treatment for their symptoms, ranging from their denial of a problem to guilt and shame to not knowing how/when to seek help. Many times a person will put themselves in treatment when they accept they have an issue and are ready to get help, but often times it happens through family and friends intervening.
